"I wonder if anybody has ever written a long article detailing all the different divisions in small press comics fans. Maybe The Comics Journal got around to it at some point, but I mostly couldn’t stand that magazine even before they priced themselves out of my range anyway. I’m asking the question because it’s obvious from that cover that this is a superhero parody (and a good one) and was curious if such a thing turns off a segment of the small press comic reading public before they even crack open the book."
